Pre vs IPhone 3G

I stumbled across an article showing a chart for AT@T comparing the Pre to the IPhone. I think the chart is pretty funny that the phone isn’t even launched yet and they are preparing what to tell customers who mention it already. To me this shows that they must be a little worried about the launch of the Pre because the phone doesnt even have a release date yet and they are prepping for it. Also the chart looks to be bias (of course) but to me it doesn’t look like it was done very well. It just is a bunch of statements making the phone look like it isn’t even close to what the IPhone is. What do you think? Is AT&T worried and just wont admit it?

App World Alive Today

As I said before today is the day App World launches for RIM. Working with cellphones the number one thing customers have said to me on what they like about the IPhone over Blackberries was the fact that it had the App store to download something for everything. Blackberry will now have the same type of Apps and will do many of the same things so the gap is being closed between these to rival companies.  I believe that this will help them out tramendously and will make the choice a little tougher for people now.

App World Opens April 1st

On an earlier post I put up that RIMM was going to launch their first app store to compete with Apple and Google’s app store. It is now looking towards April 1st for it to be the official launch day. The CEO of RIMM is scheduled to be shown off this day at the Las Vegas trade show. It is something to look forward to but some of the differences of it compared to App store on IPhone will be the fact that the price of apps will be starting at $2.99, besides the free ones, where they start at .99 cents on the IPhone.

Iphone 3.0 Software

Apple has annouced that they will be having an event on March 17th to go over its new 3.0 software for the Iphone. Rumors of what will be included is the possibilites of having mms messaging (picture messages) and possibility of tethering it to use as a modem. None of this is confirmed yet but are some ideas that are floating around.
