In my last entry I put a link to a guy who made his Iphone set up to be able to set off a mechanism and feed his dog. Well looking deeper into this, there are some college kids who set their G1 up to turn lights on and off. This just shows the ability we have with cell phones these days. Also there is a scanner on the G1 which most people know about to look up prices on a product. But there is a program you can get to send information in a coded format. From a message to contact info, you can have it all in one code that the G1 can scan and open it up in its regular format. For example this is my name in this code
