App World Alive Today

As I said before today is the day App World launches for RIM. Working with cellphones the number one thing customers have said to me on what they like about the IPhone over Blackberries was the fact that it had the App store to download something for everything. Blackberry will now have the same type of Apps and will do many of the same things so the gap is being closed between these to rival companies.  I believe that this will help them out tramendously and will make the choice a little tougher for people now.

App World Opens April 1st

On an earlier post I put up that RIMM was going to launch their first app store to compete with Apple and Google’s app store. It is now looking towards April 1st for it to be the official launch day. The CEO of RIMM is scheduled to be shown off this day at the Las Vegas trade show. It is something to look forward to but some of the differences of it compared to App store on IPhone will be the fact that the price of apps will be starting at $2.99, besides the free ones, where they start at .99 cents on the IPhone.

BlackBerry Users

BlackBerry is getting closer and closer to the launch of their app store. They came out with the news this week that it will be called BlackBerry App World. You can go to their website to register for upcoming information about the launch or to register your PayPal account to  be ready. If your a designer then you can also go here to submit it.
